CBD Could Boost Your Immune System and Improve Your Health And Wellness

Hello, my name is Alberto Caballero. I am a Physical Therapist Assistant. I have been working in this field for over 5 years and counting. I enjoy my profession as I learn so much when I am working with my patients and clients. As for everyone, like myself, who works in the medical field realizing we are in the front lines when flu and allergies is in season including this recent outbreak disease of the Covid-19 (corona virus).

We must take all the precautions we could to avoid all diseases especially the recent virus, Covid-19. Here is a link about the disease if you would like to learn more about the virus. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

After learning so much about CBD from my sister, who also has her company, www.ohthatglow.com, I have eventually decided to open up my company, www.truecbdpure.com, as I wanted to get into the alternative medicinal to bring awareness that there is other ways to improve health and wellness for everyone including your pets.

I have always been a big advocate in CBD (cannabinoid). I have done several researches about this chemical found naturally in the hemp plant. It carries many medicinal benefits including boosting your immune system and reducing inflammation. All of what I will be speaking off is backed up by recent research as I will include the links at the end of this blog.

Studies have found that CBD can influence your immune system. More specifically, studies have found that CBD has anti-inflammatory properties, and it functions as an immunosuppressant and immunomodulator. A large amount of studies discusses CBD’s immunosuppressant effects. Here is how it works with the breakdown of CBD working as an immunosuppressant:

  • CBD has anti-inflammatory properties, which can reduce the immune system’s inflammatory response. Inflammation is a vital response that isolates infected areas and prevents toxins from spreading.

  • CBD can promote apoptosis, or cellular death.

  • CBD can prevent proliferation, or rapid cellular growth.

  • CBD can modulate or suppress the function and secretion of cytokines. Cytokines are large groups of proteins, secreted by specific cells in your immune system. Their function is to signal molecules that regulate your body’s immunity, inflammation, and white blood cell production.

  • CBD can also suppress the production of chemokine, which is a group of cytokines that act as chemo attractants. They lead immune cells to an infection site so that the white blood cells can attack and destroy invading microbes.

  • CBD can suppress T-cell production and function, ultimately suppressing the immune system’s ability to remember foreign invaders.

The immune system has two ways in which it fights against diseases, the cell-mediated immunity and humoral immunity. Maintaining the right balance between the immunities is required in order to keep the immune system’s functions optimal. The endocannabinoid system is said to control and regulate the proper balance between humoral and cell-mediated responses. Therefore, the stimulation of ECS (endocannabinoid system) through active cannabinoids like CBD helps in enhancing the health, balance, responsivity and functions of the immune’s system. The CBD and ECS are extremely involved in maintaining the optimal functioning immune system.

Canniboid receptors are already in our body. Both receptors CB1 (found in the brain) and CB2 (found on cells)are both linked to our immune system. CDB reduces cortisol levels. Cortisol at high levels could reduce protein synthesis and prevent tissue growth which could stop muscle development. CBD works directly with the endocannbinoid system (the body's system that involves in regulation of physiological and cognitive processes) which interferes with cortisol secretion meaning that it can slow the breakdown of muscle mass and build more muscle.

These factors would benefit someone who may be in poor health conditions, but those who have an autoimmune disease, CBD can be an excellent choice for therapy or treatment.

There are more than 80 different kinds of autoimmune diseases including diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, lupus, HIV/AIDS, Crohn’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and more.

We still need to perform several more studies about the relationship between CBD and the immune system, but current research is already progressing the benefits of what CBD could provide. CBD has great potential for being an effective natural form of therapy for those who have autoimmune diseases.

Note: Do not use CBD oil without first consulting with your doctor if you have several underlying health issues.
